greet the award for "Outstanding Young 2007 - improvement and personal achievement"
November 7, 2007
wish to thank the organizers of this event for the effort to assess and encourage young people as actors engaged in society and construction of a new present.
I do this at this meeting through a friend who - like so many of us - walking after Christ marked by an ideal young man who revolutionized the history and remains a stumbling block to the society of his time managed to give new meaning to humanity: the Eternity, which is why He gave His life for us.
As a professional communicator priest and I tried to trace my ideals and goals, which - perhaps - in this world will not catch up, but they give me forces and hope to live happily.
Since I have the use of reason, when I saw so much injustice and poverty around me, while traveling in a fleet from one department to another, provided these families impacted me with outstretched hands are being asked to throw something out the window; situations like this, or street children and abandoned elderly ... constantly raised questions for my conscience and still today - every time I see a situation indigindad - I wonder what can be done to change this?
In my limited experience I have found that what I can do to change these sad situations, apply a clear and simple principle: do everything well asking you, to the greatest of care in the tasks that you trust, to pursue excellence in small or large that you requested.
So when one proposes to do well what has been entrusted with, then the person looks good, and I can confess that sooner or later we all choose will play right way or wrong way and a point in our lives see that our decisions are played fate or other people's lives, families, communities and even an entire city.
"He who is faithful in little is faithful also in much" says the Gospel of Luke and we have had the opportunity to trust us a little responsibility, which we have undertaken a small project, we want to change society starting from ourselves, we must know that the day tomorrow - or even today - can be repositories of large projects involving major responsibilities and challenges.
The largest and true revolutions are made step by step, motivated by good causes, the changes we need today, can not be enrolled in narrow geographic or cultural boundaries, there is a world - that beyond our borders - on tour with another rhythm, and with it the world with which we have to talk to not remain anchored in history - or worse, turning in the opposite direction. So from the "small" we can offer to humanity in people transformémonos Spirit would spread, open-minded. Much
we believe that this earthly life is an opportunity to be happy and bring happiness to those around us, and we expect the real happiness in Eternity with the Supreme Being of whom come from and who we are headed.
The Word of God is very wise when he says: "Let no one despise you for being young. On the contrary, believers see in you an example to follow in the way of speaking, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity ", if a young person has had the opportunity to be the depositary of a great task, must demonstrate be able to carry to completion.
Dear all, I end up taking this opportunity to communicate with you by presenting a project that was born small and matures, and an example of how a seed grows slowly, but growing. This is a news agency using the Internet, allows people in the urban, rural or jungle to spread the good works of the Catholic Church. Church news agency in Bolivia "information community" (www.infodecom.com), was born a year ago and is now offering the service that young volunteers can upload your news directly from Camiri Ñuflo Chavez, Tarija, Cochabamba, Pando, Uncía ... and from Rome.
In a historic moment in our country there are constant battles for the information, and where it wants to silence or cover the voice of the Church, a Catholic youth brackets existed has initiated this project has been a source of insiración to address these words . Thank
